I don't have social media where I post my life for any sustained amount of time. In an age where the scrapbook, the printed photo, and the limited camera stock have disappeared into cloud storage and digital libraries, I have begun a new appreciation for the public sourced forgettable, discarded, and poor image. I recently became interested in scrubbing the internet for user made content, repurposing it for my own arts. In this way, I seek to highlight the highlight reels of curated posting life, the unquantifiable expanse of human daily activity, and the strangeness of public and private camera work, and the value of social sharing and photo record in the early 2020's.
